Farewell function-2009-13 batch

GIET, BBSR, May 31st 2013: Gandhi Institute for Education and Technology, Baniatangi, Bajpur, Bhubaneswar - today organized a farewell function for the out-going students of 2009-13 batch and also given mementos as a sing of Memory.

On this occasion, Prof. JP Mishra, Vice Chairman of the Institute was the chief guest. While appreciating the efforts of students as well as of faculties, Prof.Mishra shared the most valuable tips to have a successful life with the outgoing students. The meritorious students, who excelled in academics, sports and other co-curricular activities were also appraised by the chief guest. Wishing the outgoing students good luck, Prof.Mishra exhorted them to do hard work with dedication and discipline in life.

Prof.B Pradhan, the Director of the Institute, read out the success principles of to be a successful technocrat in the future and appealed students to forget the ups and downs of past and to begin a fresh life outside the campus. He said now being the engineering world has become branchless, the scopes are many and hence they can utilize the infinite job scopes.

Dr.Binayak Sahu, the Vice Principal of the Institute, has also addressed the outgoing students of the batch 2009-13. He told the students that “Success is defined in countless ways and you will find it and people will no longer be at your side, shouting, scolding, correcting and at times excusing. They will no longer be grading you, but it will come from your own internal sense of decency which I believe after finishing your college studies here at GIET is quite strong. He wished each one of them the good luck in the forth coming years to grow and blessed each one of endlessly and said that your college will miss you.

Dr.KS Panigrahy, Dean, ACP, advised the students to keep their attitude of learning and achieving the real goals of life with a peaceful of mind and spirit. He pleaded that being the outgoing students, you need to see the dream and work hard to make them into reality.

Dean, Admn. Sri KK Choudhury, made the students to realize the truth of life and gave an impression: what is the struggle of life, and how fast the time is running. On the same aspect he advised students not to waste time and work hard.

All the department HODs have put up their memories with their students in the last 4 years of stay with them. It was really a memorable sharing time during the function.

In the formal manner the GIET Alumni Association is framed and students have proudly declared the Association with a “Long Live GIET”slogan.

The farewell function kicked off with a welcome song while other cultural items included songs by 4th year students and a quiz programme. The Yadav twins sang the Oriya song “Sadhav Bohu lo Sadhav Bohu.” The function concluded with a delightful grand dinner.
