A Civil Engineer is responsible for planning and designing a project, constructing the project to the required scale, and maintenance of the product. A Civil Engineer requires not only a high standard of engineering knowledge but also supervisory and administrative skills.
The planning part of their work involves site investigation, feasibility studies, creating solutions to complications that may occur and the actual designing of structures. Civil Engineering involves planning, designing and executing structural works.
The profession deals with a wide variety of engineering tasks including designing, supervision and construction activities of public works like roads, bridges, tunnels, buildings, airports, dams, water works, sewage systems, ports etc. and offers a multitude of challenging career opportunities. Our Civil Engineering department is vibrant, due to our dynamic academic and technical staff members, as well as our bright students.

Program Outcomes are narrower statements that describe what students will be able to do by the time of graduation. These relate to the skills, knowledge, and behaviors that students acquire through the program. The outcomes essentially indicate what a student can do from subject wise knowledge acquired during the programme.
The Program Outcomes (POs) of Undergraduate Civil Engineering Programme are as follows:
v Ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, basic science, general engineering skills and core engineering to the defined and applied engineering structure.
v To understand, identify, formulate, analysis and solve civil engineering problems.
v Graduate will have confident to design experiments to evaluate the performance of engineering system or component.
v Investigate the problems, identify data form literature and data sheet and can validate with some conclusion.
v Use the current skills, techniques of civil engineering and modern engineering tools for professional engineering practice.
v Able to demonstrate their civil engineering knowledge and skill to assess legal environmental and cultural issues relevant to professional engineering practice.
v Graduates could visualize professionally as well as ethically as engineering solution for environmental issues taking into account sustainable development.

v Construction Execution and Maintenance: Execute civil engineering construction and maintenance based on the given design and drawing using workforce, relevant materials and equipment.
